I hope this review is informative and serves as a reference for our ongoing negotiation for a resolution with this company.
EYE OF THE STORM
We reported an issue with the system in Dec. As mentioned, we cant fault the initial friendly consultation with a sales representative regarding the potential causes. The sales rep decided the best strategy was to directly reach out to the manufacturer for the inverter and battery (?shouldnt that be her job?). Reluctantly, we followed her strategy to contact the technical support team for the inverter for a process of elimination, checking off various potential faults even though it was already established the battery is faulty. The process was painless helped by an obliging and knowledgeable team.
I shared my report with the same salesperson, she was equally disappointed that there was no resolution. She promised to follow up with the battery manufacturer and copied us into her email conversations with the battery manufacturer & generated countless work orders/requests for a site visit to vet the faulty battery. We waited for a response from the battery manufacturer based on grandgroupaus salesperson’s optimism. Weeks quickly turned into months.
ADJUSTING EXPECTATIONS AND AFFIRMATIVE ACTION REQUIRED
We understand that there would be inevitable delays as a result from the festive season (XMAS/NY and Chinese New year) and their suppliers are based in China. However, it is frustrating when the company that sold you a product does not stand behind its product catalogue. I hope they can make good, remove our battery to get a refund from a questionable manufacturer and replace our battery with similar from a reputable manufacturer.
PS I am dealing with a fairly reactive company sales representative in NSW until recently.
Please dont let your local (state) rep abscond from her responsibilities.

Worst company to deal with. Lies by sales person that it would cost the same as we were paying in energy to pay off each month, we are paying off the system and still paying massive energy bills. Regret ever doing this. Dont even deserve 1 star but cant post without it.

Please be careful dealing with this company. Solar installed but smart meter not compliant with our older system. Grand Group representative told us it will be fine. AGL say otherwise. We have emailed our complaint and sent in writing by registered post and spoke with someone with a promise to look into it with No response. Local electrician has told us it will cost more than $3000 to install the right meter to generate the solar. We are so disappointed with this company.
