In October 2024 I enquired about a solar battery and what it entailed Horan and Bird,(H&B) then discussed the advantages of having a solar battery regarding costs and efficiency, I thought about it and went ahead with the purchase, in November the installation started in time for the summer period the contractors came and put the extra panels required and started on the battery installation in this time Sonnen sent a wrong part which couldn’t switch over to just to run on the battery during a emergency and the part wouldn’t be there till January 2025 in that time Jodie was like a case manager for the job he was always on call and allayed my fears regarding the part hold up, also I had to have a cupboard built which again Jodie on his day off erected the cupboard so the battery wouldn’t get wet and in the following month we had 2.4 metres of rain and we had no problems .
The part came in middle January and the service I received from H&B to install this part was outstanding they moved heaven and earth to satisfy the customer (me) in all this time I rang my case manager (Jodie) a number of times regarding issues that I had thought about and Jodie pointed me in the right direction they were issues for me but I got pointed into the right direction.
When H&B went into a meltdown I was mortified as they installed 20 panels and they were very efficient again but they came back like Lazarus and that was the reason I went through H&B because of there commitment to the customer and all the little dramas that arose which were insignificant.
Again H&B if I get another battery and panels your company would be my first call, also I have had no hesitation in recommending your company to other people through this comments page

The panels I have are buggered and now not covered under warranty because the manufacturer went bust so that leaves me out of pocket once again. I have asked for quotes to replace my system and I’m still waiting for them. Clearly customer service isn’t their strong attribute at present.

Just had a conversation with Shannon and signed up for new solar panels on a house that already has old solar panel. Shannon’s customer service was fantastic and he was easy to talk to. Never felt pressured into the sale and he only gave facts and information to back the product. Hopefully the installation goes ahead just as easily and that we have the results from the newer system.
