Each year, the government gives energy companies a target for how much energy they must help customers save. They do this by offering things like free or discounted energy-saving products and services.

This can include LED lights, appliance upgrades, insulation installation, rebates, vouchers or bill credits.

Anyone in South Australia take part in this, whether you’re a homeowner or a renter.. All work needs to be done by an approved REPS provider.

Eligible activities

There are currently 32 approved energy productivity activities under REPS, covering areas such as:

  • Energy-efficient appliance installations
  • Heating and cooling upgrades
  • Insulation and hot-water system improvements
  • Demand-response and load-management initiatives

The full list and technical requirements are defined in the REPS Activity Specifications, which guide how savings are calculated and verified.
