Supercharged Solar for Renters incentives landlords to install a solar PV system on their rental property by offering rebates of up to $3,500. The big winners will be renters who are expected to reduce their electricity bill of up to 6,500 households by around $700.

Why landlords should care
Solar can make a rental more appealing, potentially lift property value and provide a point of difference in a competitive market. Eligible Queensland landlords with existing tenancy agreements may apply for the rebate.
Additionally, there are programs for adding batteries. The Battery Booster Program QLD has now ended, but was replaced by the national Cheaper Home Battery Program. See details for savings of about 30% off battery cost.
How to get started
Get a quote from an eligible installer, apply for conditional approval, then proceed to installation once approved. Tenants benefit immediately from lower bills, plus landlords gain a stronger listing.
Can it be stacked with other rebates?
This program can complement the federal STC discount already applied by your installer. Stacking this with existing federal rebates can lead to significant savings on installation costs for the homeowner.
