We received quality advice on the size and placement of our solar panels, the brands and type of inverter to use and the expected output and savings. Throughout the process, Paul was very helpful answering my many questions and supporting my decision making. Guwing Green outshines (pun intended!) its competitors. This is a professional outfit that employs highly trained engineers, able electricians and efficient labourers. Paul Trad, the company’s solar engineer, listened carefully to our sceptical questions and responded with clear explanations of technical matters (in contrast to bamboozling rivals who bristled when questioned). The installation of our 9.2 kW system was well planned and swiftly but carefully executed by Paul and his team. We’ve since become solar nerds, excitedly monitoring our production/consumption and imports/exports via a linked app. Monitoring has altered our usage patterns, yet we don’t deprive ourselves of imports from the grid where needed. In our first week we achieved a net export — and it’s winter! We are looking forward to even more savings in summer, along with lower carbon emissions (imagine guilt-free air-conditioning). We reckon a solar system is worth the upfront investment. It’s also worth shopping around for an installer who quietly earns your confidence.
