I struggled to trust anyone in the solar industry until I was referred to Australia Wide Solar. I had shopped around, but was not satisfied with the quotes I received for the quality of panels and batteries being offered.
We needed a solar and battery system to work for particularly large commercial loads to support high end accommodation, sporting facilities, entertainment facilities and large function spaces. AWS listened and made sure we had the best system possible for our needs. They installed a 100kW solar system and then 120kW of batteries. They even went the extra mile to help us get cost effective and suitable EV chargers for guests. Every single person in the AWS team has been an absolute pleasure to work with. The team worked well with me as I project managed the jobs at the estate and with all of my other trades that work onsite. The team were always happy to answer my questions, to work with me to install around client schedules and to make the final install look neat and appropriate in the wedding garden surroundings. I felt supported in the process and in the end we definitely have a far superior reliable solar and battery installation than I have seen on other commercial operations. I could not recommend AWS enough to anyone wanting quality environmental sound solutions to power needs. Did my research, called a few companies, spoke to people with solar and ‘Australian Wide Solar’ was the best! Ignacio was so easily to work with. Communication, emails, plan and especially price worked out the best for me and my family. Installation was done and Solar worked immediately. Great app to work with as well. Australia Solar Wide were very helpful in providing me with information of the variations of Sunpower Maxeon solar panels Personalised for my home needs and availability for the required installation.
The staff were helpful and thorough, fitting around the very wet summer weather condition we have experienced this year.
I am very happy to have both the Sunpower Maxeon solar panels and the Solar Edge System battery installed giving me the best efficiency, and complete visual access to the actual
activity of how the solar translates to the power consumed, as well as the total power produced.
I am quite amazed at just how much solar power is produced, even throughout this most unusual wettest, grey summer and wet winter season.

When I was initially thinking about getting solar I had reached out to Australia Wide Solar to get a quote. I then fell down the rabbit hole of researching solar panels, inverters, batteries, layouts, usage meters, etc. I found the SolarQuotes.com.au website an excellent resource as were the Solar Forums on forums.whirlpool.net.au.
I eventually got additional quotes via the Solar Quotes site which was very helpful to compare options and prices from different installers.
I ended up going with Australia Wide solar as their sales person (Vicki) was absolutely amazing. Vicki was very patient with all my questions (I had lots!). She is extremely knowledgeable and is backed up by their team of engineers and in-house installers. Ellena was also great in coordinating the scheduling of the install.
The quote I received from Australia Wide Solar was very competitive.
I ended up getting a 13kW system. 33 x Trina 400w Vertex panels, 2 x Sungrow 5kW Inverters and Sungrow Meter. I have a mix of north east and north west facing panels (4 strings in total). One section of my roof where I wanted panels ended up being a bit to narrow, however the engineering team were able to come up with a solution and re-orient the panels so they could be installed in a safe and efficient manner.
The installation was quite straight forward and took two days. I requested that the work be done by there in-house team (rather than sub contractors) so had to wait a bit longer given their busy schedule (but I was happy to wait). They cleaned up and took away any rubbish. The finished product is very neat and professional.
The team also came back later to shorten a vent pipe that was casting a shadow on one of the strings of panels (the photo attached was taken before the vent was shortened). By getting rid of the shadow, that string of panels should now be more efficient. Other installers may not go to this trouble so it pays to select a quality installer.
Using the Sungrow App and website to track my electricity usage has been great. Even though the system has been installed during winter we are feeding in more energy then we are using. So I’m keen to see how the system goes during summer. With power prices starting to go through the roof I’m glad I’ve finally made the move to get solar.
I’d happily recommend Australian Wide Solar to anyone looking at getting a quality system installed by true professionals.
