We got a quote for solar from Rick approximately 12-18 months ago and after comparing with some other companies (some of whom never got back to us) decided to proceed using Affordable Solar as it appeared to provide a good quality product at a reasonable price.
Our solar was installed in December 2023 and we’ve been super happy with the product.
Rick is not pushy, provides great advice and guidance based on his experience, but lets customers have the final say.
Rick has promptly answered any questions I’ve had (including when I’ve had many!) and his after-sales service continues to be exceptional eight months on. On Rick’s customer service and after-sales support, I would recommend Affordable Solar alone.

Discovering a leak in my hot heater system today I contacted Rick Gittus. Within a very short period of time Rick had organised a plumber who fixed the problem. I have found Affordable Solar and Rick utterly dependable right from the beginning with their supply and installation of solar energy panels; and some years later a solar hot water system.
Any issues I have had (and they are few) have been fixed without hesitation. Affordable Solar have a first class customer focussed business where the customer is so obviously valued. Underpinning this are the competent and friendly staff.
I just wish all business were like this.

Rick took the time to address issues we had with panel placements and took the time and effort to visit our home and discuss options with us. He provided us with information regarding panel placement which no other company we contacted brought up.
Communication with Rick has been a pleasure, he is courteous and prompt in his correspondence.
Rick contacted us after our solar installation providing tips regarding charging our electric car ts he noticed we were not making the most of our solar with charging the care overnight.
The fronius solar web app is very informative.

Rick provided on-going and knowledgeable advice for heat pump hot water and solar panels installation. Unlike some other companies, I never felt like Rick was trying to ‘upsell’ me, or recommend something to me that was more than what I actually needed. Rick was always helpful and responsive. The installations were done efficiently and on time, and everything has been running without issue. I haven’t paid for a power bill yet! I would definitely recommend Rick and Affordable Solar Tas.

Last weekend our Sanden hot water system malfunctioned and we lost our hot water. Rick came and had a look at the system, replaced a few parts and flushed the system however it didn’t seem to fix the issue. Rick recommended we replace the fan system which for us was not a cost we could afford at the moment. Rick persevered and came back on site today and was able to get it up and running again.
I cannot recommend Rick from Affordable Solar enough, he has amazing knowledge around the Sanden hot water systems, and his customer service skills are impeccable. Thank you so much Rick.

Cannot recommend Affordable solar enough! Rick tailored a system to meet our needs (panels and sanden heat pump) and takes the time to explain all the detail, not just sell a product. I’m very impressed with the product efficiency (being able to monitor live) and how quiet the sanden is when running.
