Fantastic work,Very Happy,highly recommend

After shopping around and a site inspection from their salesman I decided to go with Aztec. I paid the deposit and was told the install would be in 4 to 6 weeks. Once scheduled there were two delays to weather. The install team that showed up were very young, all in their late teens to early 20s. After looking at the job they informed me they couldn’t work out how to do it, and would need to discuss it with more experienced colleagues. I chased up the following day and was told by Michael, who identified himself as Aztec’s owner and MD, that he was “walking away” as he didn’t like difficult jobs. Zero attempt was made to resolve the situation, or even have someone more senior take a look at it. He told me he’d refund my deposit as if he were doing me a favour.
I went back to one of the rejected quotes, (HCB Solar) and explained what had occurred. The salesman reviewed his previous proposal with their engineer, and got back to me within a few hours. He explained that they didn’t see any insurmountable issues. While he thought the job looked pretty standard for a retrofit, he organised to come back out with their senior installer to determine the methodology and requirements before scheduling the install.
Aztec were a complete waste of my time. From the good reviews here, I’m guessing they’ll do a decent job if your install is simple, but expect them to bail on you the first time they encounter the slightest difficulty.

It’s a perfectly ordinary profile steel colourbond roof. Your installer expressed concerns about needing to lift some roof sheets and temporarily remove the gutter-guard to access the cable run. There’s nothing exceptional about that, and the same thing was done without issue when I had the roof space insulated. He admitted he was inexperienced and said he’d need discuss it with someone more senior. All credit to him for recognising his limitations.
You, on the other hand, showed no interest in getting more experienced eyes on the job. You weren’t aware of my job when I first spoke to you, and two hours later you had decided it wasn’t worth your time. You were already behind schedule due to the wind, and had likely moved on to the next job. My distinct impression was that it was easier for you just to “walk away” than it was to make the effort and have a proper look, not withstanding I’d been waiting my turn for 5 weeks.
You have many happy customers and a good reputation, which is one of the reasons I selected your company. However, if anyone were considering you I strongly suggest they look at the bad reviews. Almost all say the same thing; as soon as there was a problem you disappeared. Luckily for me, that happened before the install commenced, so I dodged that bullet.

We are extremely happy with Aztec solar. The quote was done on site and identified some installation issues which were missed by other companies quoting from google earth . On the day of installation they used a local sub contractor which was not a disadvantage. The sub contractor was able to hide conduits by weaving them through a low roof cavity , down the wall cavity to place the inverter on the opposite side of the house to the electricity box, in a place which maintained the aesthetics of the house.

What an excellent business to deal with from Reception, administration, interaction and installation at all levels. Professional, friendly, competent with a can do and polite attitude!

We had solar system installed last Thursday, after some prior hiccups with weather but timely arrangements were made. What they advised and provided is what Aztech delivered with supportive help along the way!
