Great sales people, very helpful at explaining options. They brought a drone in to take photos of the roof and surrounds, made a pretty animation with their software to model the sun and shadows. Theory was good. Installers were not so good. They dragged the panels up rubbing along pvc pipes. Leading to marks on the surface. Banana solar said it wouldn’t affect the panel. The panels were installed too close to one side, so much more shading from neighbours than planned. Later we found leaking in roof. Roofer says the cause is insufficient sealing in these plugs under the panels, cracks in roof tiles when they were shaved and they didn’t tell us, even though we had spare tiles. But it’s in some underlapping parts, so intermittent problems and hard to diagnose. Obviously we can’t even check the ones under the panels themselves now. They’ve been sold to new owners now, so we can’t do anything.

I have been greatly satisfied by all steps of the process, from discussing the system initially with Victor without any sales nonsense, coming back with a reasonable price, to Allan and Duan sorting out a prompt installation once the deposit was paid. When it came to the work done on site, I was very happy with the care and attention to detail taken, the team took the time and effort to ensure a neat installation and kept me informed throughout the day to ensure I was happy with placement of the key components of the system. The team concealed all the inverter cabling in the brick cavity, so no ugly conduits! Great job team.

There were a few challenging aspects to the site that they managed to overcome and they were very accommodating with delays in the installation date due to house repairs that needed to be completed first.
