We are in the Grampians I tried many times to get an Electritian out to the farm to get a quote for solar !! We are of the grid .
A friend recommended commodore .
I rang and explained my situation and they offered to bring a qualified electrician into there Warehouse at Commodore ,to put everything together for me on the board and when it arrived my husband just hung it on the wall and we rang Commodore and they guided us on how to install it
We had very clear instructions and it was way easier than we thought .
We’re still running off that system and it’s been amazing. The only thing we’ve done is added an extra battery as we found during the winter months when you get 10 to 15 days with no sun it was struggling , but for anyone thinking of doing solar in an area where you can’t get help I found it very easy or I should say Commodore made it very easy by preparing everything step-by-step for us to install ourselves. It was an easy process. Thank you very much to the team at Commodore .

Over the moon with our new powerhub 8 solar setup! Drew and the team where more then helpful through the whole process from purchase, postage to installation and aftercare advice. Will not provide remote support
Will not repair faults
Will not respond to phone or email for days sometimes weeks.
I have a 1.5 yr old system purchased and installed by Commodores Installer, that I cannot get repaired. It’s been nearly 4 months, a formal complaint and it’s going nowhere.
1 Star is too much.
Update 29/01/24 – Commodore have sent me a replacement battery for me to change out myself, with no onsite support. To correct some errors in Commodore’s response below, I did personally escalate my system issues and poor customer service during my journey with Commodore to James directly, which was met with “well what do you want me to do about it”.
Based on my experience, my rating and review remains applicable and accurate in my opinion.
If Commodore had tried genuinely to meet their service obligations after seeing this review, I may have changed or updated to reflect a positive experience.

Solar On Electrical are greatful of Commodore Australia for their amazing support in helping design and build our off-grid solar systems. The pre-wired boards they offer made everything so much smoother from the get go. Drew, in particular, was a big help in guiding us through the design phase and offering ongoing support, from start to maintenance. We have used them multiple times for their off grid solutions for our customers. If you’re considering off-grid solar solutions, I can’t recommend Commodore Australia enough.

Commodore told me a Victron/Commodore distribution board system I bought from them delivered to Peth WA was able to be grid tied, after multiple rejections from Western Power using wiring drawings done by Commodore. Dodgy work around solutions were found between Commodore and their WA based installer, so they wired it up, Warranty work was done by their installer due to bad wiring on the system built by Commodore, over the next year multiple system faults were experienced, the first 6 Months Commodre were helpful in correcting remotly, when they kept happeing I started being innored for rectification and no personal access code had been given after I asked for it, t A year later a inspectors Order was put on the work from their installer and it was ordered to be disconected by Western Power, it was never able to be connected legally how it was designed, installed and bought.The system is dis connected the last 8 Months.I sold my battires to an electrical engineer after he tested them and found they were fine to put back into service, I asked for a refund from Commodore. they replied with a 80% refund offer, but never paid after I agreed, even after using a Solicitor to mediate at my cost was still not able to get a refund. Currently at Magistrates Court with this Company. I Regret using this Company. Bait and switch sales tactics, Deney / delay / re nig ,I cant believe I was so naieve for so long while they upsold to solve problems which could not be solved. Ive wasted over $8,000.00 on products and services from this Company. Poor integrity, Poor workmanship from Commodore, Poor workmanship of their installer who I also had to go through Magistrates Court for my Consumer rights to be Honoured (and were). Lousey over all. Except for sealing the deal and up selling. Very Disapointed,. The last I checked Commodores response (10-1-2024)to this email it had multiple false claims that most Consumers will see through. I am sure they can do good work, just not on my job or a few other peoples.

I purchased my first system from commodore in late 2014 from a small building in Euroa and have since built another home and again another system in 2022. I have instigated many purchases to friends and family from a farm stay in NSW for a few cottages to large converted bus, a few weekend campers and most recently an outdoor education centre for kids. I could not recommend the team at commodore enough for their patients and first rate service. I myself have learnt a lot over the years and continue to be amazed at the quality of communication received from the team. Thank you again and look forward to many years of sustainable living.
