I cannot recommend RK Solar highly enough. Two years ago RK Solar installed my initial PV system and I was so impressed I didn’t hesitate to go back to them for an expansion (including an increase to the existing solar PV panels on the roof and a new battery).
They responded quickly to my inquiries, gave me a very detailed quote at a competitive price, and they organised the installation within 12 days, with quality products.

I had an excellent experience with RK Solar. Their service was first class right from booking the initial consultation online, the at home visit and then right through to the installation. Now, one month post installation its been totally trouble free. Their quote was also competitive and the installation team and their electrician were gentlemen and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. RK Solar recent installed a 25kW Sungrow hybrid inverter, 30kW Jinko panels and 40kWh Sungrow battery for me. They were one of few suppliers who came to look at the job before quoting and their quote was very competitive. It was an unusual job because of size and the products had just been released by Sungrow. RK Solar took the time to research what would be required and then completed a very neat job. They followed up a few teething issues until everything was resolved. Highly recommended.

Recently had my 13.2 Kw system, satin black Jinko panels, 19.2 Kw Sungrow battery and Sungrow hybrid 10Kw inverter installed in August.
From the first sales consultation, Phil came out to my house. He really listened to my needs and what I wanted then provided and walked me through a detailed analysis of my current bills and usage patterns, providing me a number of different options and costings.
On the day of the installation, the RK crew were here at 8am. We talked through where they would install my inverter and battery. The crew were great, professional and did an awesome neat job.
So happy with my new solar system and would definitely recommend calling RK for a free quotation.👍

Unfortunately I have to give RK Solar 1 star, as they screwed up my installation, not once, but multiple times. This is all documented on my EEVblog2 Youtube channel. (I’m a professional engineering Youtuber and make electronics and also solar related videos.)
I liked the guys, and to be fair they did a good and quick job of the physical panel installation and mains conduit wiring, and they came through on a tight deadline install for my house building works, but here is how they screwed up my installation:
1) They assured me twice that my Enphase system was connected and producing power. They stood there with the Enphase app and assured me this, but it might take a few days to sync the old data.
In reality it never was producing power and I had to troubleshoot this myself. I discovered they didn’t even connect the mains wiring to the Enphase control panel! The wires were literally sitting loose unconnected there in the box.
And RK are “Platinum” Enphase installers.
2) With my new Deye string system installation they failed to properly connect one of the strings when they installed the panels, there was a break in the system. When they originally installed the panels they didn’t even check to see if the strings were intact (a break in one of the crimps they did). So when it came time to connect the Deye inverter to the panels they didn’t know why it wasn’t working. They had to come back another day to have another crack at solving it.
3) They had never installed a Deye brand inverter before and were unable to set it up properly. I had to troubleshoot this and fix it myself. You could argue that’s understandable as they had no knowledge of, but I didn’t have any experience with Deye either and I was the one who had to figure it out.
4) The electrican who installed the Deye inverter didn’t even have a multimeter with him to troubleshoot the broken connection problem, he had to borrow my multimeter!
5) They incorrectly installed the ground cable through the DC input ports on the Deye inverter, preventing me from adding a battery later.
When they came back to fix this they completely stripped one of the screws and support post on the front panel of my Deye inverter cover plate. Not only did they not tell me this, they tried to cover it up with an additional high voltage warning sticker. I had to drill out the support post to get the cover off again.
