Paid a deposit for a quote on 15th November 2024. I had a change of mind and requested the deposit returned on 18th November 2024 (during cooling off period).
After number phone calls I still haven’t received my deposit back. They insist I need to be called back for the deposit to be returned. It is now 18th December 2024 and I’m still waiting for someone to get back to me.
I have no regrets about choosing not to go with Smart Energy Answers. My only regret is putting down a deposit with them.

I went with SEA as they offered a good system at a good price but the clincher was the ability to pay by the month over five years interest free thru a VPP option. We hit a few snags with our system (the production of energy did not meet the average rates quoted by SEA as there had been a mistake in the design process) but SEA were incredible in resolving the issue, looking for solutions and working through it patiently to make us happy – firstly they came and moved some panels to better locations, then they added twelve more panels to make sure were were getting the maximum energy for our location and roof design.
It is so rare that a business can admit fault and work to rectify it – I have to say that SEA customer service and tech support are the best ! They are very responsive, they listen and they are tenacious, never giving up until the issue is resolved. I would call out Ikram in particular as he was incredible in working with me to fix the problems.
As a customer it’s disappointing when things don’t go to plan but that’s when you find out what kind of company you’re dealing with – the kind that counts the money and disappears or the kind that wants to ensure you have the best solution possible and SEA are definitely the latter ! The best !
We now have a fully working system producing the maximum amount of energy possible for our roof and we are very happy.

Excellent service all around on a slightly complex solar installation with Tesla battery. The only properly accredited CEC company near me. The whole industry is a mine field and after receiving different and conflicting advice from multiple quotes I went with SEA because Rod was trustworthy and knowledgeable and importantly has provided excellent service post- installation. Highly recommended!

Firstly, the salesperson/technician gave excellent system details and no BS. Their warehouse is huge and clean, with all products in stock and on display. They explained each alternative, providing details of each product’s manufacture and warranty backing. Installation was quick and efficient; I have no complaints at all. Excellent company.

A week ago we had our old solar system removed and replaced by a new system from Smart
Energy. We had four different quotes, and the best of them was prepared by Oren Ben – Moshe.
Removal and installation was done by , Tim Duggan and his capable team very quickly and professionally. System is working very well, and with the inverter app we can monitor production
and consumption easily.

I recently had Smart Energy Answers in Sydney install SolarEdge inverter with optimisers, a Telsa2 battery, and a Jinko solar panel storage system, and I’m very pleased with the outcome. The entire process, from initial sales consultation to design and final installation, was smooth and professional.
The benefit compared to other companies was in being flexible to work with me in meeting my budget and design constraints and being prepared to work through various options that meet my family’s lifestyle and my need for a reasonable pay-back period. The outcome is that my daily power costs have been reduced from about $12 per day (including pool and EV charger) to almost nil.
So far, so good. The system is performing well, and the long-term benefits are clear, considering it has only been operating in winter. Although it’s important to be prepared for the upfront investment and the subsidies offered by the government are nice but not on-going, but not nearly enough to impact a decision to purchase.

We installed our solar system with Smart Energy Answers (SEA) and the whole process was flawless from the time we spent with the salesperson to the final installation. SEA was not only the quickest to provide quotes but they also gave us some time to work through different options and pros/cons to suit our needs. Once confirmed, the installation went without a hitch. The installers that arrived on the day of installation were punctual, knowledgeable and installed the panels and inverters cleanly. Their workmanship was of high quality. Definitely recommend these guys. We also went with SEA few years later to install a battery, the whole process from quote to installation was 4 days, amazing and loving the install and now ability to self consume solar through the peak period.

From quotation to installation to follow-up, the service was excellent. I received quotes from five different companies. SEA was the best quote, not because it was the cheapest which it wasn’t, but because of the detailed site-specific information in the quote.
Subsequently the installation went when planned and as planned. The installation crew were terrific and kept me updated about progress as they went along.
Various interactions with technical and office staff were all handled promptly and efficiently.
Since installation I have received a couple of follow-up phone calls to ensure the system is working OK and that I am happy with the outcome: which it is and I am.
