I recently contacted STT electrical for a quote to supply and install 4 ceiling fans in my house in Rockhampton. Eventually (2 weeks later) got back to me and quoted me $2900 . It seemed a little expensive to me but I needed it done and i was a little time poor so I agreed. On the agreed day of installation the tradesmen arrived over an hour late. My (female) partner hung around as they milled around doing absolutely nothing for the proceeding hour. When she approached them and asked if everything was ok they replied by saying that they will need to install remote control fans. This was part of the original quote. They also complained to her that my meter box wasn’t easy enough to access and the earthing to my house wasn’t up to code. They warned her that they are now in overtime and this was going to “cost us”. They then took an hour to pack up a ladder and left. The next day they retuned and ran earth wires for the fan and installed an earth steak. I understand this is required to meet code. But they carried out this work with absolutely no consultation with myself the bill payer. I was charged for 8 hours of work for them to carry maybe two hours of work bringing my property up to standard.(now I’m not a licensed electrician but I am an auto electrician so I have a good idea of how electricity works and what’s involved in the running of wires ect). In short they completed the job, billed me for $4000 and mangled my meter box. When I questioned the invoice I was told “the boss doesn’t think you were overcharged “ and “I’ll have a word to the boys about your meter box”. I paid the invoice but will absolutely never use STT again and absolutely do NOT recommend. Very disappointed

STT have been nothing short of amazing. The professionalism, precision, communication and prompt customer service stands out above any other technicians i have been involved with. I have engaged with STT for 2.5 years and our experience will always lead us back there. Well done to Sam and his team as the workplace culture is evident with all the staff you deal with, nothing is a hassle and they are only to happy to help also to add they are polite, friendly and personable.
