I’m happy with the whole installation process and the quick, efficient service I received from the local contractors. I gave only four stars though because the original day of installation was postponed without us being informed. We stayed home waiting until I made three phone calls wondering what had happened. The girl on the first call didn’t even ask for my name or where I lived – she just fobbed me off saying that ‘the guys were a bit delayed and would be down as soon as possible’. When the installers did arrive the following week, they arrived nice and early, got on with the job, and were very helpful with my questions. I’m overall very pleased – I trust that after-sales support, if needed, will handle any issues promptly and efficiently, and I won’t need to chase anyone up.

Considering how much stuff you have to do with regards to getting your Solar organised and installed, everyone I dealt with at Sungain was SUPER helpful and pleasant to deal with. No dramas, no hassles and the whole process was smooth and easy.
I definitely recommend Sungain if you’re wanting to update your system. Will be back when I need a battery 😉

I am thoroughly disappointed with the service provided by Sungain Solar. My experience has been plagued by terrible customer support and untimely responses. I had my solar system installed on April 24th, but my meter box has still not been reconfigured, months after the installation.
I purchased an 11.5kW system, only to discover that my feed-in tariff (FIT) is being capped at 5kW. This effectively renders my system useless unless I purchase an additional battery. Proper technical communication and professional advice regarding this issue would have been beneficial. Had I known about these limitations, I would have opted for a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery and inverter combination from the outset.
Furthermore, once the purchase was made, I had to take extensive measures, well beyond my knowledge, to configure the system correctly. This included providing necessary documents to my energy supplier, which should have been handled by Sungain Solar.
Overall, my experience with Sungain Solar has been extremely frustrating, and I would not recommend their services to others.

I was introduced to Sungain Solar through Solar Quotes. Dealing with Sungain solar was an easy and transparent experience. The helped educate me on my requirements and what to expect, I didn’t feel any sales pressure from them at all. They gave me options to the whims of my mind. I was particularly impressed with the installers they used, very polite and professional to deal with. They came early and pretty much got started from 7am. Midway through, they realised a plumber was needed on site to remove solar collectors, something the Solargain had neglected to organise. Sungain solar together with the installers immediately took control of the stressful situation, got a plumber in on site the same day at no extra cost. These guys are absolutely amazing. The only issue I had was after the solar installation, and obtaining the Electrical Certificate, they were supposed to follow-up with the power network and my retailer of the solar installation, but somehow the ball was dropped and that didn’t happen. I followed up with Sungain Solar and It took a couple more months before I saw feed-in tarrifs on my electricity bill. I am very happy with the product and the overall result. Apart from the post installation hiccup, I would still highly recommend having your solar installed through them.

Sungain gave me a fair quote based on my needs. The sales representative was approachable and answered my questions in a timely manner. However, there was a slight miscommunication in our quote. We were originally told that we could get 20 panels installed with our battery but when the installation date got closer, we were informed that only 17 panels could be installed. However, this was not a huge issue as they adjusted the quote for us. The electricians who came to fit the solar panels were quite knowledgeable and did a great job. The work was clean and they explained everything well.

Sugain Solar installed a 6.6kW Jinko solar system with a GoodWe inverter for us, and it’s been fantastic. Luke Peterson and Jules Lowrie were great to deal with—super informative and not pushy at all. They helped us from start to finish, even coordinating with our retailer. The system works great, and we’re really happy with the service from Sugain Solar!
